Process-data disclosure via PLT out-of-bounds read
Published Feb 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.1.0.1 allows attackers to access process data through a PLT file. Their PLT parsers fail to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open an untrusted file; the resulting disclosure is limited to data available in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
