CVE-2020-26990

Code execution via ASM parser type confusion

Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Type confusion in ASM parsing in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code. The ASM parser does not properly validate user-supplied data before accessing it as an incompatible type, producing type confusion. Exploitation requires the target to open a crafted ASM file or visit a malicious page, and code runs with the current process's privileges.
