Code execution via CG4 and CGM parser overwrite
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted CG4 or CGM file. Their CG4 and CGM parsers inadequately validate file data and write beyond the end of an allocated structure. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code runs with the current process's privileges.
