Code execution via JT parser type confusion
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Type confusion in JT parsing in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code. The parser inadequately validates user-supplied JT data before accessing a resource through an incompatible type in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious JT file or visit a malicious page, after which attacker-controlled code runs with that process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
