Admin takeover via unauthenticated password reset
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Authentication bypass in affected Axigen Mail Server 10.3.x builds allows remote attackers to reset the admin password through WebAdmin. The WebAdmin password-setting flow accepts a setAdminPassword operation without authentication after the first administrator login initializes that flow. WebAdmin must be network-accessible and a prior WebAdmin authentication must have occurred; exploitation replaces the administrator password and grants administrative access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
