Authorization-code theft via unchecked redirect URI
Published Jun 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in ApiFest OAuth 2.0 Server 0.3.1 allows remote attackers to steal authorization codes via a crafted redirect URI. The authorization endpoint accepts the redirect_uri parameter and sends the issued code there without matching it to the client's registered URI. Exploitation requires a user to complete the manipulated authorization flow; the exposed code can be redeemed within its validity window for access under that grant.
