Database compromise via unsanitized sort parameter
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in REDCap ToDoList 10.3.4 and 10.0.20 LTS allows remote attackers to compromise its database via the sort parameter. ToDoList/index.php inserts the user-controlled sort value into a database query without adequate validation, allowing injected SQL such as a time-delay subquery to execute. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful injection permits reading, altering, or destroying data in the backing database.
