Stored XSS via unsanitized profile HTML

Published May 26, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Stored XSS in vFairs 3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in other attendees' browsers through crafted profile data. The profile update path accepts HTML in another attendee's profile fields, stores it in the database, and renders the tags without neutralizing script content. An event account and a target user identifier are required, and execution occurs when another attendee views the modified profile.
