Authenticated database query manipulation via Widget Area injection
Published Jan 2, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
SQL injection in Gila CMS 1.15.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through the Widget Area parameter. The Administration > Widget handler incorporates the Area value into an SQL operation without adequate neutralization; public sources do not identify the responsible function. Administrative access is required, and the resulting query manipulation exposes or modifies database data without a documented service interruption.
