Authenticated server-file disclosure via survey-template XXE
Published Jul 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in ObjectPlanet Opinio before 7.15 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through a crafted survey template. The import workflow accepts an XML template linked to an attacker-edited CSS file containing an external entity, and previewSurvey expands that entity. Survey administration access is required to modify, import, and preview the files; the demonstrated consequence is server-file disclosure.
