Browser script execution via unencoded surveyId
Published Jul 30, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in ObjectPlanet Opinio before 7.14 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The surveyId query parameter in survey/admin/surveyAdmin.do is returned without adequate output encoding, while inputs accepted by other survey/admin actions can also be stored. A victim must open a crafted request for reflected execution; the stored variant requires acceptance of attacker-controlled input and can expose page data or browser-session actions.
