CVE-2020-26180Network attack vector

Authenticated /ifs data access via permissive remotesupport ACL

Published Jul 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Incorrect default permissions in Dell Technologies PowerScale OneFS 9.0.0 allow remote authenticated users to access data in /ifs. The default /ifs ACL fails to deny the remotesupport account directory read, write, execute, discretionary-ACL-write, and child-deletion rights. Valid low-privilege remotesupport credentials are required, and exposure extends through most file-access protocols to reading, changing, or deleting stored data.
