CVE-2020-26118Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsafe Java deserialization

Published Jan 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Java deserialization in SmartBear Collaborator Server through 13.3.13302 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. The GWT UpdateMemento class deserializes a user-supplied Java object without validating the serialized string, allowing a malicious object graph to reach the server runtime. An authenticated Collaborator account is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the server process's privileges.
