Out-of-bounds reads in HCC Embedded NicheStack TCP/IP before 4.3 allow remote attackers to interrupt devices with crafted DNS responses. The dns_upcall() parser trusts header-declared query and response counts, then reads records beyond the packet's available data. The device must process a crafted DNS response; the established consequence is service interruption, with no reported code execution or data access.
