Stored script execution via unencoded usernames
Published Jul 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the Manage Users feature of Codoforum 5.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a victim's browser. The administrator-only username editor stores crafted markup, and the users page renders that value without HTML entity encoding. Access to the admin panel is required to plant the payload, and another page view triggers script execution in that viewer's Codoforum origin.
