Authenticated folder deletion via unvalidated backup path
Published Oct 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Baijiacms V4 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server folders through a crafted id parameter. The delete branch in system/manager/class/web/database.php base64-decodes id, appends it to the backup root, and passes the unvalidated path to rmdirs. Access to the database-manager delete operation is required; parent-directory sequences can remove application folders and destroy the site.
