A denial-of-service vulnerability in MySQL Server 8.0.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash the server via MySQL protocol requests. Oracle identifies the affected locus as the Server DDL component but has not published which operation on untrusted input triggers the failure. High-privilege network access is required, and the documented consequence is service interruption through a hang or repeatable crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.
