CVE-2020-25713Network attack vector

Application crash via incorrect namespace comparison

Published May 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Out-of-bounds access in librdf Raptor RDF Syntax Library 2.0.15 allows remote authenticated users to crash applications via a malformed RDF file. The raptor_xml_writer_start_element_common function compares namespace declarations incorrectly while writing parse-type literal content, causing an out-of-bounds heap access. Any application that serializes attacker-supplied RDF can terminate when malformed content reaches the XML writer.
