CVE-2020-2555Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via Coherence extractor chain

Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Deserialization in Oracle WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.3.0 and 12.2.1.4.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code over HTTP. Oracle Coherence's LimitFilter.toString() invokes attacker-controlled extractor chains; ReflectionExtractor then uses Method.invoke() to call arbitrary Java methods. Oracle Utilities Application Framework 4.2.0.2.0, 4.2.0.3.0, 4.3.0.1.0 through 4.3.0.6.0, 4.4.0.0.0, and 4.4.0.2.0 is also exposed without authentication over HTTP.
