Privilege escalation in Siemens DIGSI 4 before V4.94 SP1 HF 1 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM via writable DLL search-path folders. Several directories in the Windows %PATH% are writable by normal users but searched for DLLs by DIGSI 4 or related processes. A local authenticated user can plant a malicious DLL, and execution occurs with SYSTEM privileges, enabling full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
