CVE-2020-25163Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unsafe display import

Published Apr 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in AVEVA PI Vision before 2020 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser. The ProcessBook display import path accepts attacker-written display content without neutralizing embedded code before PI Vision renders it. Exploitation requires write access to PI ProcessBook files and victim interaction with the infected display, exposing PI System data and other victim-accessible data to reading, modification, or deletion.
