Unauthenticated hang or crash via OracleNet
Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1, 18c, and 19c allows remote attackers to cause a hang or crash. Oracle identifies OracleNet as the attack path but has not published the malformed operation, input field, or code locus that triggers the failure. No authentication or user interaction is required, but attack complexity is high; successful exploitation interrupts only the gateway service and does not expose or alter data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
