Stored script execution via unsanitized submission titles
Published May 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in CmsWing 1.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when an administrator opens content management. The online submission module stores a script payload placed in its title field and renders the approved submission without neutralizing the title. A user able to submit content can target an administrator, and execution occurs only after approval and an administrator views the management page.
