Authenticated code execution via unescaped sort column
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
SQL injection in FUEL CMS 1.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through the list_items col parameter. Base_module_model.php passes space-stripped col and order values to database order_by with escaping disabled, allowing crafted GET input to become SQL syntax. A valid FUEL session can reach the affected pages endpoint; injected statements can read or alter database data and lead to code execution.
