Administrator account creation via forged user-add request
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in xuxueli xxl-job 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to create an administrator account through a crafted HTML page. The /xxl-job-admin/user/add handler accepts attacker-chosen username, password, role, and permission fields and saves the user without a CSRF token or origin check. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to open the page; the resulting account grants persistent administrative access, while arbitrary code execution is not established by the public proof of concept.
