Unauthenticated database access via unfiltered EXPLAIN query
Published Mar 4, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
SQL injection in QCubed 3.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access its database through a crafted POST request to profile.php. The endpoint unserializes strProfileData and passes its attacker-controlled strQuery value to PrintExplainStatement, which concatenates EXPLAIN and executes the query without filtering. The endpoint must be deployed and reachable; database behavior determines whether exploitation discloses data through timing or executes additional statements.
