Authenticated script execution via report description

DOM-based cross-site scripting in New Analysis Report in Hitachi Vantara Pentaho 7.x through 8.x allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript. The Analysis Report Description field in the About this Report section enters the page DOM without neutralizing executable content. An authenticated attacker must supply a crafted report description, and another user must view the affected report, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
