Root code execution via glassadmin CLI command injection
Published Jan 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in Aruba AirWave Glass before 1.3.3 allows remote authenticated users with glassadmin privileges to execute arbitrary code as root via the CLI. The glassadmin command handlers execute attacker-controlled input without adequate validation, enabling command execution on the underlying host. Exploitation requires valid glassadmin access; successful attacks can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the appliance host.
