CVE-2020-24501

Adjacent service interruption via firmware buffer overflow

Published Feb 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Buffer overflow in Intel Ethernet Controller E810 firmware before 1.4.1.13 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via adjacent access. Intel has not published the affected firmware routine, the triggering input, or the unchecked copy operation that overruns its destination buffer. Exploitation requires adjacent network reachability and can disrupt controller operation, with no confidentiality impact reported.
