Information disclosure and service interruption via incomplete cleanup
Published Feb 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incomplete cleanup in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killer drivers before 22.0 allows attackers to disclose data or interrupt service. The Netwtw10.sys driver leaves part of a cleanup operation incomplete, but Intel has not disclosed the resource or execution path involved. Exploitation requires privileged access from an adjacent network and is limited to information disclosure and a service interruption.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
