Unauthenticated internal service access via unvalidated remote URL
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SSRF in download-add.php in WP-DownloadManager 1.68.4 allows remote attackers to make server-side requests through file_remote. The handler accepts the supplied remote-file URL without validating its destination before the back-end server retrieves it. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient to probe internal hosts and ports or interact with reachable services using the server's network position.
