Administrator account changes via cross-origin POST forms
Published Aug 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Ponzu 0.11.0 allows remote attackers to alter credentials and administrator accounts through crafted web forms. The configure.html and user-management handlers process cross-origin POST forms that set credentials, add administrators, or delete users by email. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to open attacker-controlled content, enabling account or configuration changes under that session.
