Application crash via zero-channel WAV input

Divide by zero in Speex 1.2 allows attackers to crash the speexenc process by submitting a crafted WAV file for encoding. The read_samples function fails to reject a zero channel count parsed from the WAV header before performing arithmetic that divides by it. A user or calling application must pass the file to speexenc; the reported consequence is process termination, not data access or modification.
