Browser script execution via unneutralized reflected input
Published Jan 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in tohtml/convert.php in Winmail 6.5 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted request. The endpoint returns attacker-controlled request data in its HTML response without the output neutralization needed to prevent script interpretation. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that user's browser within the Winmail origin.
