Browser script execution via reflected route parameter
Published Nov 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in xujinliang Zibbs 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through index.php's route parameter. When core/framework.php cannot resolve the requested controller, it inserts the attacker-controlled route value into its error response after applying addslashes but without HTML encoding. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the Zibbs origin with that user's web session.
