Privilege escalation via factory reset CSRF
Published Nov 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in OPTILINK OP-XT71000N firmware OP_V3.3.1-191028 allows remote attackers to reset ONU to factory defaults. The /mgm_dev_reset.asp endpoint accepts a forged request without CSRF protection and performs the reset operation. An unauthenticated remote attacker needs a victim browser session; after reset, default credentials permit privileged login and configuration takeover.
