Router compromise via forged configuration upload
Published Nov 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
CSRF in OPTILINK OP-XT71000N hardware 2.2 with firmware OP_V3.3.1-191028 allows remote attackers to gain full privileges. The mgm_config_file.asp workflow accepts attacker-supplied XML at /boaform/admin/formMgmConfigUpload without sufficient CSRF protections. Exploitation requires user interaction and permits unauthorized configuration changes that can compromise the router and attached network.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
