Reflected XSS via unfiltered login parameter
Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Aryanic HighMail (High CMS) 2020 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted login request. The login page places the LoginForm uid query value into an HTML field without adequate filtering, so a closing delimiter escapes the field and injects markup reflected by the server. Exploitation requires a victim to follow the crafted URL; the injected script then runs in that victim's browser context with access to page data and actions.
