Stored browser-script execution via unencoded security setting
Published Jul 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in PHP-Fusion 9.03.60 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script in another user's browser. The security-settings handler stores an SVG onload event payload, and the preview renders the saved value without HTML entity encoding. Access to the security settings panel and a victim viewing its preview are required; execution occurs in the vulnerable site's browser context.
