Stored script execution via unencoded Site footer
Published Jul 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in PHP-Fusion 9.03.50 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script in visitors' browsers via Site footer content. The administration/settings_main.php flow strips script tags but stores event-handler HTML and renders the footer without entity encoding. An authenticated user must save the setting; a member's later visit triggers the payload in that visitor's browser session.
