Database information disclosure via unsanitized dbName
Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in rConfig 3.9.5 allows remote attackers to read sensitive database information through a crafted dbName parameter. The database-install handler in ajaxDbInstall.php uses the dbName value without sanitizing SQL metacharacters before a database operation. The network endpoint requires no authentication or user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to database confidentiality.
