Stored XSS via unsanitized file metadata
Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Catalyst IT Mahara CMS 19.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. groupfiles.php stores the Nombre and Descripción values supplied for file and folder names without neutralizing script content before later rendering them. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but another user must view the affected file listing; execution can hijack sessions or alter displayed content.
