Stored script execution via unescaped event fields
Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SeedDMS Content Management System 6.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The AddEvent.php handler accepts crafted name and comment values by POST and later inserts them unescaped into HTML and JavaScript log views. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but execution requires an administrator to open the affected Web or WebDAV log view, exposing that browser session to hijacking or content manipulation.
