Code execution via unchecked multiple file extensions
Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Tran Tu Air Sender 1.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through its local transfer web server. The upload module accepts a crafted POST request with a malicious filen value because it does not reject multiple file extensions. The technical advisory inconsistently labels access as both pre-authentication and requiring a low-privilege FTP application account; no user interaction is required.
