CVE-2020-23040Public exploit

File disclosure via FTP path validation bypass

Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in the Sky File 2.1.0 FTP server allows remote attackers to read sensitive app files over a local Wi-Fi network. The server's path validation accepts /(null)/../ after CWD and CDUP navigation, escaping the anonymous account's intended app-folder boundary. Exposure requires the app's Wi-Fi FTP service to be reachable; successful traversal discloses files in the app container without altering them.
