Authenticated file disclosure via unfiltered upgrade path
Published Jul 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file download in PbootCMS 2.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to read server files via the upgrade list parameter. The update function in upgradecontroller.php concatenates the unfiltered list value into a path, copies the selected file beneath static/backup/upgrade, and leaves it web-accessible. Access to the administrative interface is required, and successful exploitation discloses files readable by the web application account.
