Administrator account deletion via unverified request
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in BeeCMS v4 allows remote attackers to delete the administrator account through a crafted request. The /admin/admin_admin.php endpoint accepts an action=admin_del request and administrator identifier without verifying that the administrator intended the request. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of that administrator account.
