Administrator-browser script execution via unsanitized client name
Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Apr 1, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in HFish 0.5.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a client name. The server management interface renders the distributed client's config.ini name value as active HTML without neutralizing event-handler markup. Exploitation requires control of a clustered client configuration and an administrator to view the client information, exposing data and actions available in that browser session.
