Service interruption via zero-length packet allocation

Out-of-bounds memory access in libssh2 1.10.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt applications with crafted SSH transport data. _libssh2_transport_read accepts a zero total packet length and stores a non-null malloc(0) result as the payload, leaving memory later consumed by _libssh2_packet_add uninitialized. An application must receive the malformed data from a network peer; the bounded consequence is process interruption rather than data disclosure or modification.
