Reflected XSS via unescaped repository validation errors
Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Jenkins Subversion Partial Release Manager Plugin 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's browser. Repository URL form validation inserts an unescaped error message containing attacker-controlled input into the response. The stored-like exploitation mode requires Job/Configure permission, while reflected exploitation requires a victim to load the crafted response.
